Goals: why is it so important to have one?

Two days ago I walked into the bookshop, of course to purchase a book and yes to also quench my thirst for seeing books, yes it makes me feel like a smart person.

I was at lokay bookstore Abuja to do one of the things I spend money on, self development.

Just as I was walking round the store with joy, I laid my eyes on this beauty by Brian Tracy and I decided to pick her, I was almost deterred by the price but God’s got me.

She was one of those books you won’t want to drop till you get to the last page, but I’ve decided to take her like gently, we’re not rushing this.

I would love to share some insights I’ve learnt from the book with you. One of the awe struck things I saw was that goals are a major key to happiness, and you know me as a minister for happiness and enjoyment it picked my attention.

When you set goals and you attain them, which can be the greatest source of joy. Like you said you’ll do something and you’re doing it or you’ve done it.

How can that joy be quantified, I don’t know how, but it’s a joy that shows, and it doesn’t have to be at the biggest thing; it can start with the small and little things.

After reading the book, I decided to practice this thing I just learnt and I decided to write a to do list, yes as simple as a list of things I must get done the following day.

And yes, your guess is as right as mine I achieved it all, although it deprived me of more sleep time, but I could account for every second I spent in the day and nothing was more refreshing than that.

This thing they say about all the forces on earth coming together to assist a man that knows where he is going is really true o.

Even though some of the things I wrote seemed impossible but because I didn’t give up nor give in to sleep I achieved them all.

All this story and grammar lays the tone for today’s challenge:

Write a to-do-list and stick to it!!
