Leaders are willing to ask forgiveness
It was Winston Churchill that said “The price of greatness is responsibility”
Good leaders act responsibly, they don’t wait to be shuffled around or told they’re wrong.
Do you know how difficult it is to admit you’re wrong? But it’s one attribute of great leaders, they admit they’re wrong when they are.
Their life is an example of what they expect from their followers.
Failure is normal, leaders can’t afford to be all defensive about their failures, they embrace it and move on.
Leaders are willing to take responsibility for their actions. They’re willing to make personal sacrifices for the overall welfare of the organization or team.
“I was wrong”, “I am sorry”
These are not ordinary words, they are power and they are life, they can melt down any strong heart, they are highly significant.
And they make far greater impact than a looooong speech about morale or whatsoever
They are peacemakers, leaders are peacemakers.
