Price

Discipline: Are you willing to pay the price?

You might have read articles and attended talk shows and seminars that are centered on “PAYING THE PRICE” to attain to the height or fulfillment that you so desire in this life, another may want to ask what it means to “pay the price”, so in this post, I would spur your heart to think on certain things so that you may be aware of the requirements that can bring to you the level of satisfaction that you so desire even as you journey through this year 2018 and through life as a whole.

A visit to the market would let you know that every item/commodity in the market have different prices and this prices are based on their quality, quantity or even usage of the item. This also applies to us as individuals when it comes attaining/achieving our goals. The price we pay to get to where we want varies from one individual to another and this depends largely on the nature, quality and sphere of influence of your goals.  If Mr. John prayed 2 hours and studied 4 hours to conquer a city as his sphere of influence, then Mr. Paul must do much more than that to conquer a continent.

How bad do you want it?

Now the question to ask yourself is “am I willing to pay the price for my vision/goal/purpose?” Don’t be quick to say YES, because a lot of responsibilities comes with this that even at the thought of it, you might be tempted to quit even before you begin. Are you willing to be patient? Are you willing to persevere? Are you willing to be faithful? Are you willing to be steadfast? Are you willing to hold on to your integrity, moral standards and value? Are you willing to give up those pleasures (those enjoyments that you can’t do without)? These and many more are some of the questions you must meditate on as regard yourself.

How about external pressures? Can you say no to family challenges and expectations? Can you be courageous to stand for what you believe when it seems friends, family and loved ones are against you? Can you stand the jealousy, hatred, scheming, gossip, backbiting and naming from others? These and many more are some of the questions you must meditate on and ask yourself.

Fear not!

This is not to put fear in your heart or worries in your mind, but to let you understand the place of diligence and persistence in the journey of destiny. If you know you are going to quit after a couple of fights, then be rest assured that you will never win. So I write this to encourage you today to spur up the ability that God has deposited in you. That ability in you is tougher and stronger than any opposition that the world presents. And the joyful thing is that when you win the battles of destiny, you would be quick to forget all the pounding you receive on your way to the top. IT IS ONLY THOSE WHO ENDURES TO THE END THAT SUCCEEDS.
