Great Ideas: where do the come from?

Where do Great Ideas come from? Anywhere, from the obvious.
Clocks were invented and refined over the years because people wanted to better keep track of their time, an obvious invention.
Twitch began as a platform for video gamers to live stream gameplay as opposed to adding themselves on skype. It’s equal to broadcasting video games for lovers to watch and interact.
Google came up because Sergey and Larry were looking for a way to ensure their research papers were well cited- identified when they were mentioned in other people’s work.
In academia how often a published paper is cited is a measure of how much credibility it has, At that time they found out that there was no way to analyze all the links on the web. So it wasn’t possible to know how many times they were mentioned in other people’s work on the world wide web.
Paper money came about because people couldn’t stand having to carry heavy forms of money (bags of coins) to make transactions, sounds Lazy? or maybe more convenient.
Great ideas don’t seem great after a while, they seem obvious and are taken for granted. It’s a virtuous circle. We pick up the obvious and question it to create something new, then what is new becomes obvious and someone takes it up and refines it and the circle goes on and on.
