It is just an Illusion

It is just an illusion

The great evangelist Billy once said “fear knocked at my door, faith answered …and there was no one there”.As a child I would be scared to take a piss alone, especially late at night. It made me bed wet a lot of times, because I was too scared to go alone, like, there’s a masquerade there or something will swallow me, but if someone goes with me the masquerade wouldn’t be able to swallow the two of us, maybe his mouth is not so wide to swallow the two of us.

Fear like babies grows by nurturing them, maybe someone is laughing at my story but I know some adults who are still scared of the dark. If you feed your fears, it will grow to become a monster you may not be able to tame again.

Fears of the unknown make you begin to worry, worry that is not your worry. Worry they say doesn’t empty tomorrow of its trouble, rather it steal today of its joy and happiness.

“A day of worrying is more exhausting than a day of work” John Lubbock

That’s because worrying is work, hard work at that. It was Arthur Richie that said humorously “never trouble trouble, until trouble troubles you”

When that thing you’re afraid of comes at you again please feel free to punch it in the nose, I guarantee you, you won’t hurt anyone because fear itself is just an illusion.  Like I said fear is like a baby, if you keep feeding it, it will grow, and to something else and hold you captive.

Fear has killed many dreams, shattered hopes and buried the greatest love story possible.

Don’t be a victim, let faith open the door whenever fear knocks.
