Life Hacks: Making the most out of your life

We might have come across people with disabilities who are making so much of their lives. Think of an injured solder who had lost his limbs in a war, the para-olympians who are making ground breaking records in the world of sport, or people who are blind and deaf or in other ways compromised and you see them making meaning of lives even more than those who are complete in their body. Many of these people, besides getting on with their present circumstances despite their adversity are often happy and cheerful people, eager to help others in the most way they can.

The questions now are: Do you make the most of your life, are you happy and positive most of the time. Is your cup half full or half empty? Do you notice sunsets with delight, enjoying the beautiful colours of the sky, or a rainbow or the glorious rays of a sunrise creeping above the horizon, or maybe the cosy heat of the fire on cold nights as it was in the earlier days of our childhood?

Or on the other hand, have you allowed the worries of life to weight you down? Do you let set-backs or odd aches and pains get you down? We might have come across aged people who are battling with arthritis, lost of sight and are stone deaf, others living with tinnitus which is not so good for their feet, but when you take a look at their lifestyle, some of them live alone in their houses, takes care of themselves and even go for shopping themselves with little or no help. Best of all, they are always happy people and the slightest thing amuses them.

The habit of finding sunshine in the darkest clouds CAN turn OUR life around.

Others have found difficulty with certain illness and they allowed it got to them so badly that it let them down; and after sometime they found it hard, after a lifetime of excellent health to adapt and accept impairment. However we might have come across some who on the long run decided that nothing was going to stand on their way to living the best out of their lives, not even the ailment. Such people got back on their feet, worked their passion and hobbies like never before and raised their standard of living from the ashes.

These are few examples we find in and around us, bringing to our consciousness that:


Hence, do you have things you would love to do, hobbies you would love to start, places you long to visit. Have you always wanted to start a business, all to make meaning out of life and it seems all forces are against you?

The first step is the hardest, believe in yourself, and seize the moment – Life is what you make out of it. Do it NOW! Why later?
