SILENCE: Good or Bad 2?

I want to believe the concept of silence was established in the first part of this write up? To begin, I must tell you that silence is a golden virtue and via it, people can have the time for self-reflection on the importance of human development.

In our exploration of silent spaces, we can be able to discover who we are as individuals, what kind of relationship we desire and what value and belief we want to place on our life. The ability to tune out this noisy world helps you to develop the ability to reflect and grow.

Great amount of energy is wasted in idle talking and gossiping, but the worldly people do not know this – a worldly person always wants company and talk. However, if you give yourself to silence on frequent basis, you will realize its advantage in conserving energy for the purpose of divine contemplation (and I assure you, you will never want to leave that practice). Silence develops your will power; helps balance your impulse of speech and observance of anger control.

Your practice of silence would enable you use measured words to utter impressive speeches, because you will first think if what you are about to utter will wound the feelings of others and what sought of impression it would produce on the mind of others. You will be very considerate and thoughtful.

Silence is a very powerful tool that enables concentration, promotes meditation and allows us to be in touch with our “inner” self. And that is why even the devil has made people see it as passive boring and inactivity and has made people think of it as intrinsically dangerous, anti-social and abnormal.

And we now fear and hate people who are silent; you will hear things like “na people wey quiet, na them bad pass”, but we have forgotten that the great forces by which we live, are silent. The vast immensity of space is silent, because sound wave, unlike light and radio waves cannot travel through a vacuum.

Learn to observe silence. Practice, feel and enjoy the peace of silence yourself. Its advantage is simply incredible. Start by observing it for at least one hour daily while you increase the time as the days goes by and watch how your thoughts and actions will glitter always, with a high increase in your will and concentration power.
